Where’d You Go Bernadette? By Maria Semple

Maria Semple has been attached to some incredible comedy in the US and her novel is no different. A tale of mystery and identity, we follow the breadcrumbs with Bernadette’s daughter, Bee, to track down her notorious mother. Told through various emails and eye witness accounts, this is a heart-warming and hilarious story told in a unique way; a voyeuristic telling for a nosey culture. I was extremely rude over Christmas because I couldn’t put it down. Bernadette is an inspiration and only a slight headache for her family.
