I have never understood the Moors Murders fully, it’s a story everyone knows but not necessarily the truth. I doubt we’ll ever know the truth but this book is pretty close. It looks at the life of Myra Hindley from beginning to end; asking questions such as was she damaged goods? Was she fully aware of her actions? The author has researched this subject to the fullest, drawing from a kaleidoscope of sources including the victim’s families and Hindley herself. It makes for some fascinating reading if you have the stomach for it.
