So I’m doing a thing based off of All Hallow’s Read.
“So what is All Hallow’s Read?
All Hallow’s Read is a Hallowe’en tradition. It’s simply that in the week of Hallowe’en, or on the night itself, you give someone a scary book. Scholars have traced its origins as far back as this blog post by Neil Gaiman: A Modest Proposal (That Doesn’t Actually Involve Eating Anyone) Saturday 23rd October 2010”
Rather than being given books, I am giving myself the challenge of reading scary books. I’m reading nothing but horror for the month of October!
“What kind of scary book?
An appropriate one. You wouldn’t give the same kind of scary book to one person than you would another, any more than one book is right for everyone. People like different things.”
I hunted through my book boxes and found all the scary books I own. I’m starting with those. This is me talking about it.
Watch me on YouTube talking about the books and for reviews here. Sorry for the short lazy blog. I’m at Cheltenham!
